"I started coming to Gowanda HD 30 years ago to see what was here. I rode in on my 1972 FLH. I have been bothering the guys, asking questions, checking out bikes ever since. I have always had my questions answered, felt comfortable and been welcomed back. For a period of 15 years I had no road bike because I was busy raising children. Ten years ago things came together and I purchased a used softail. Five years ago a road king was on the showroom floor at Gowanda HD, Alan was the sales person who sold it to me. The sale went smoothly and the bike ran well. Now, after 35,000 milesand a million memories I am ready for another bike. After looking for a year, talking to everyone and researching the 2010 Ultra Limited has everything I want.I did some shopping. Gowanda had the best deal around! With Alan's help a trade was made and like the last time I bought a bike from Gowanda everything has gone well. I look forward to picking up the new Ultra Limited in the Spring. I hope for a million miles and as many new memories to be enjoyed with my new bike. As I ride down the road with my new wife, and my old friends, and new friends yet to be made I am sure it will be the best times ever. "4 years ago I had to make a decision after just walking around your store for about an hour. The Bikes, clothing, and people made it easy for me to accept a position with The Harley-Davidson Motor Company in York, PA. Now every time I vacation back home I must go to your store and visit. I first met Bob a couple years back and we talked for hours. Last spring I was planning a trip home and I was coming up on my 5000 mile check so I called a few days early from York to schedule an appointment. When I called and they (Ned) said they couldn’t book me an appointment. I simply stated that I was coming in from York and worked for Harley and they said they would get back with me. The phone rang 2 minutes later and I had my appointment. That night in a rain storm I met Ned and found out I went to high school with his brother. I also met John that evening and spent time with him learning about his father, family, his military days, the business, and his passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. I’ve been back a few times since and continue to meet great people at Gowanda Harley-Davidson and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

"Starting with the extreme patience while I was being delayed in purchaseing my bike to the cooperation from the service department on some minor issues everything has been above and beyond what you should expect. Coming from a service field myself I truly expect to be treated the same way I treat my customers, even though I have recently returned to the sport the service department takes the time to explain my options when contemplateing upgrades. On a recent discussion they had been very personable and did not talk down to me like another locall dealer when I was getting some information on a major motor upgrade, they explained what I could do without waisteing money, on do this now see how you like it and then do it again later after the upgrade was less than satisfactory. The whole experience at Gowanda Harley was a great experience, from the custom 1997 Fatboy I purchased to the wonderful staff there.
I purchased my bike from Alan Hall; this sale was a low-pressure very professional and personal transaction, which I was very happy and comfortable with when I left the dealership. As I said the whole staff at Gowanda Harley are very helpful and make you feel as if you’ve known them for years.
I also have to mention Monica Hall manager of motor clothes, I have done quite of business with Monica purchasing riding apparel, and she is a true professional and really knows her business. Again I am very happy with my purchases and the friendly and professional service I received.
Since the purchase of my bike, myself and my riding buddies have been riding up to Gowanda Harley quite frequently to pick up toys and stuff, I must say John Reid the president of Gowanda Harley spends time with his customers on a very personal level, listens and helps to take care of their needs. Al and Bob spent quality time fitting her to the best frame for her riding style, as always the motor clothes girls occupied my daughter who in turn occupies them (sorry) and the guys at the parts counter set up her accessories flawlessly.

"On august 11, 2006 I was involved in an accident on my 2004 Road King. I had service work done in the past at Gowanda Harley and had been impressed with thier customer service. So it was a no brainer that my bike would be fixed there. The Service Department went above and beyond in my estimation-specifically Jana-with whom I had numerous phone conversations with concerning the repairs. Jana contacted the insurance company of the gentlemen that hit me and really kept things moving. I would like to commend Gowanda Harley Davidson on their dealership from top to bottom. The purchasing experience was terrific. Right from the beginning Alan was more than helpful and really listened to my wife, Laurie, on what she wanted. Never did we feel pressured to upgrade or buy something we did not want.
Also, the store Santa Claus at Gowanda H-D is terrific. My youngest daughter, Grace, is special needs. When Santa came out she ran right to him. He picked her up right away with a huge smile on his face. Grace squeezed her face right up against his and wouldn't let go. Your staff taking pictures and making us feel welcome was wonderful. All to often people don't know how to deal with special needs kids. Your staff and Santa are truly special.

"While home on leave from the Navy, I saw a derby cover design display. Getting close to retiring I inquired about a personal design I had in mind. The staff took my Retired Navy design and made the special order for me. They said it would be a couple weeks, but I had to go back to virginia. They called me in virginia and told me it was ready ( and turned out great ). I was going to see if I could have my brother pick it up when he offered to send it down to Virginia instead. Was I ever happy to see how wonderful it turned out. I retired last summer (2004) and moved back to WNY for quality family and friends time. In the fall the staff was able to get me on their short winter storage list (thank you again). I have been to many other HD dealers, both in the United States and some oversea's. It is the OUTSTANDING and FRIENDLY customer service that a person receive's at Gowanda HD by such a wonderful staff that makes them stand above the rest. I have other dealers closer, but it's worth the drive to Gowanda. And isn't that the point - the Ride !!!"
